Sam, a seasoned mariner with experience ranging from dinghies to 40,000-tonne vessels, brings firsthand knowledge of maritime emergencies to his role at Zelim. His innovative concept of unmanned rescue, born from real-world experience, has revolutionised search and rescue capabilities. Recognised in Forbes' 30 Under 30 Europe 2024 - Technology, Sam now leads Zelim's efforts to commercialise advanced lifesaving solutions and secure strategic investments.

Doug, a former partner at Seven Investment Management, brings 20 years of experience in delivering innovative IT solutions in highly regulated markets. With a proven track record in leading teams to develop award-winning investment platforms and pioneering technologies, Doug now applies his expertise in application strategy, digital innovation, and project management to drive Zelim's technological advancements and oversee critical project deliveries.
Alan Gilbert
CFO
Alan, an experienced CFO with a robust background in the maritime technology sector, joined Zelim in 2023 to bolster the company's financial strategy. With two decades of progressive financial leadership in innovative maritime companies, including key roles at STL and Xodus Group, Alan brings valuable expertise in SME debt financing to support Zelim's ambitious growth objectives.
Pete Lloyd MBE
Director of Search and Rescue
Pete brings 32 years of extensive search and rescue expertise to Zelim, having served as an RAF helicopter pilot, Squadron Commander, and Chief of Staff of the SAR Force. His subsequent role as Global Head of Health & Safety at Siemens and his contributions to emergency response guidance in the offshore wind industry through G+ underscore his comprehensive understanding of maritime safety. Pete now advises Zelim on end-user needs and regulatory compliance.
Andy Tipping
Business Development Director
Andy brings 8 years of offshore wind expertise to Zelim, specialising in business development and technology commercialisation. As the founder of the industry's pioneering Launch Academy accelerator program, he has a proven track record in nurturing innovative companies in the sector. With experience in investor engagement and international business development, Andy now leads Zelim's commercial strategy, focusing on customer acquisition, funding, and marketing initiatives.
